Kamakura Local Membership Program

Your neighborhood.
Your price.

Itsumono connects local residents and regulars with the shops through a simple LINE-based app.

What Kamakura's businesses are dealing with

Kamakura streets
Over 16 million visitors a year
Kamakura is one of Japan's most visited destinations. That brings energy and opportunity — but also real pressure on everyday life for locals.
The "Kamakura price" problem
Prices have risen to match tourist demand. Many local residents — including foreign residents — now find it harder to visit their favorite neighborhood spots regularly.
Rising costs
Food and labor costs have increased significantly over the past few years. Raising prices is a reasonable business decision — but it can affect the relationship with loyal local customers who have supported the restaurant from the start.
// KEY INSIGHT
What if restaurants could grow their revenue from tourism and keep a special price for the people who live here? That's exactly what Itsumono is designed to do.

When you update your prices,
set a member price for locals too.

This isn't a new idea. In Hawaii, it's called the Kamaaina rate — a discount for state residents that's been running for decades. It's not discriminatory. It's a thank-you to the community that supports local businesses every day.

Before
One price for everyone
A single price applies to tourists and locals alike. When prices go up, the relationship with regular local customers can change.
With Itsumono
Member pricing for locals
Set a new general price that reflects the market. Then offer Itsumono members — local residents and regulars — a discounted member price alongside it.
Modeled on Hawaii's Kamaaina rate
This is a resident-based membership program — not a discount for Japanese nationals. Foreign residents living nearby are equally welcome. Existing regulars qualify too. Membership based on nationality, appearance, or language is explicitly prohibited under Itsumono's terms of service.
A price update becomes an opportunity to reaffirm your relationship with the people who live here.

What it means to join Itsumono

Itsumono is a LINE-based membership program. Local customers register through LINE, and get member pricing every time they visit. You run it all from a simple store app.

Grow by values,
not just by money.

We believe local businesses and local communities grow together. Itsumono is designed to create that cycle.

Fair and transparent by design
Membership is based on where you live or how often you visit — not your nationality, appearance, or language. Discriminatory use of Itsumono is explicitly prohibited in our terms of service. All residents, including foreign nationals, are equally welcome.
A neighborhood-wide network
This isn't a coupon for one shop. When multiple restaurants and shops in Kamakura adopt Itsumono, the whole area becomes known as a place that genuinely values the people who live here.
